I was watching the Coast series on BBC (UK) on Friday night, there was a short bit about diving the pinnacle in the straits. I was wondering if anone here had actually done this dive? It looks like one of those once in a lifetime dives. Here's a link to some info on it
Bubbles going downwards!! Phew!

I was up in Oban last weekend and heard some stories of mythical divers who had done this dive - but unfortunately we didn't get a go.

Seriously good diving up there, whirlpools aside - amazingly intact wrecks, incredible vis for the UK, dolphins, seals - and its not even that cold!

Nice! Never been to the west coast, done Scapa Flow years ago which was very cool/spooky
Dont think theres any such thing as mythical divers rofl just well prepared ones . The underwater footage was awsome, pig pits worn out by stones grinding out hollows, viz wasnt brilliant but I dont suppose it will ever be with up to 16 knott tides running through it every day

Well if you are going to pick a mountain of a dive, pick a big one, this one looks like a big one all right :duh .

Didn’t George Orwell have a really bad day trying to boat around this?
