Hey crew, recently I have been dabbling with dynamic on inhale ( previously only dove on frc) at the moment my best is 125m with my new monofin. However I'm having trouble working out what I need to work to improve. Usually my swims only have a couple contractions, what ends the swim for me is a sort did sick nausea feeling towards the of the hold I suspect it isu hypoxia. Interestingly I can do similar distances on frc. Very strange considering that frc ok taking less 02. Probably Tue transition from frc to inhale dynamics. Cheers for any thoughts guys.

When I was diving purely FRC, I found that taking more air didn't gain me that much. Only after practicing extensively with inhale/packing did the distance/time improve.

Ok, let me tell you about my latest 'discovery'.

I'm not an dynamic ace either, 150m pb, though I have a nice static, 7', and can do a nice CWT, 65m.
I found just two weeks ago that the solution to my below average static/dynamic ratio is probably due to a high(er) blood flow, less vasoconstriction, during my full inhale dynamics.

I looked back at my previous experiences, including Frog Flow experiences, and it all looks logical to me and my coaches.

So I suggest you try the following:

1 - Take more time to prepare.
2 - Swim more fluid and with less spiky use of force.
3 - Most important mentally focus to keep your heart rate low, before and during the dive.

I noticed vasoconstriction on a full inhale DNF dive of just 50m. The differences were to my usual 50m DNF's are:

- much clearer mind,
- lower Heart rate and bloodflow,
- vasoconstriction,
- Lactic acid, in limbs.
- much more enjoyable.

I did not have to change to further explore, and I would love hear of your experiences.

Love, Courage and Water,

Kars
