There are so many great freediving clips on the net but it seems most are streaming. It's great to be able to watch them but really frustrating if you want to watch them again especially after waiting (sometimes) hours for them to download.
So my question is - How do I save these freediving videos to add to my personal library? Anyone please!

There are plenty of tools available on the web. And many of the videos that cannot be saved directly can be very simply pulled out of your browser cache without any tool. Very simple and painless.

As for downloading stream that are not cached, you can use for example NetXfer from Xi-Soft - very powerful and efficient tool for this purpose.

Excuse my ignorance but what is a "browser cache" and how do I pull things out of it?
Browser is for example MS Internet Explorer or Firefox, cache is a space (in this case a folder) where browser stores all (or most) files it displays so that it does not need to download them every time you look at them again (unless they were modified in the meantime). You can access the folder in any file manager (such as for example Windows Explorer). In MSIE you can also access it through the menu Tools >> Internet Options >> Browser History / Temporary Files >> Settings >> View Files. In Windows, at MSIE and other browsers you will find the cache in the folder "Application Data". For Firefox it would be typically in the following path:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.qrt\Cache

I am now more confused. I just downloaded the footage of Herbert Nitsch's dive under the arch. I can't find it in the browser cache and that program you recommended keeps asking for money even though it says it's a trial version. aahhhhhahhhhhhhh:vangry
