:rcardi know this may sound a stupid question, does anyone know of any freediving masks with bigger nose pockets.ive had a great cressi mask for a long time but a trip over the reef a week ago someone kicked it overboard ho hum. i have tried 5 different masks all giveing me terrible pain in the nose area. now im getting paranoid about haveing a big nose(which i do not)can anyone suggest some alternatives. Thanks a lot guys:friday

why not the same model like the one you lost? cressi still sells all their older models...

If your problem is clearance over the bridge of the nose, the Beuchat mundial has the most room for me.

hi
i cannot remember what style cressi it was.I have tried the big eyes and a couple of others none feel good. Bill yes its the bridge that hurts, maybe i will try the beuchat if its in stock here. cheers

Sporasub star has big enough nose for Me, many other masks have been too small.
Problem might be the softness of the silicone around the nose part and the shrink wrapping that can happen all too often.

Surprisingly, the odd up-turned Michael Jackson nose of the soft silicone Omer Alien fits my konk well enough. Your mileage may vary.

I think people who have problems with some masks with seemingly enough room is due to the silicone collapsing under pressure. With the soft masks You are less aware of the squeeze cos the face sucks the mask in rather than the mask sucking the face out.

My instinct star is very soft and if I don't equalise often enough, which is tempting due to the comfort then its quick to shrinkwrap My konk. That said it has room enough for My konk which is far more important... just need to keep it equalised.

Mares X Vision have a HUGE nose pocket, my nose is not too small but just floats around in there. it is also a AMAZING mask, I can't even feel that I'm wearing it on 4 hour dives..

is that the mask with the 2 densities of silicone? (liquivision?) I tried one with a silver skirt and it was super comfy, lots of contact with the face around the skirt. it was only the volume that stopped Me buying it.

no it was the standard X vision, the liquid silicon version has been reported to leak. the X vision has a low volume: 105cm3 I am not sure how that compares to others, but the field of view is great.
