For any interested and seasone divers:
Sub7Seas is staging a 2-day weekend advanced freediving intensive in the UK (Crystal Palace) this coming April (14-15). Is this for you?
If your already a diver & you've experienced some life-threatening near misses, your diving is less than perfect or generates more questions than answers, than this course is for you. These clinics require a greater level of watermanship, awareness, knowledge and experience .... they are for seasoned divers only. Prior experience in activities such as freediving, SCUBA diving, competition swimming, synchronized swimming or big-wave surfing are necessary. As a minimum, divers must be able to: tread water for at least 10' and swim 200m unassisted; comfortably reach a depth of at least 10m; breath-hold for at least 1’00”; and, swim a distance of 25 m, with fins. The clinics are run as weekend-long intensives (8 hrs/day), intermixing practice with theory. A basic understanding of human diving physiology is helpful, but not essential as we review all the basics. There is a high emphasis on developing a technically accurate and safe diving technique for the particular environmental conditions and diving objectives in mind. The latest research regarding countermeasures against SWB are also described and practiced. There is also focus on developing a personalized long-term diving program based on the latest sport-science theories and practices and your ambitions.
Hope to see you there!
