Hi,
Does anyone have experience with the subgear Apnea 1 Wetsuit?
I can't find any reviews. It's ok for beginner or is waste money?

Hi 3joern,

I consider myself as a beginner as well (currently 27m). I dont know this wetsuit but it looks very good for beginners. Next time I buy one, I will pick any that has a good fit, the price is good and has the right thickness for the water temperature.

In the end of the day, mastering relaxation, concentration, equalization and finning techniques are way more important.

muchas grazias, unfortunately I don't speak spanish  我的中文好一点

You right, the basics are very important, but if my testicles like ice cubes I can't relax ;)
Our team pool just 26°C and after 2 hours training in shorts I want hug a vulcano.
So I don't need the long freediving fins for pool training, I don't need a small volume freediving mask in the pool (but I have), BUT I really waaaaant a warm suit, just for my... you know ... :coldfeet:

The video has closed caption, just activate it.

As for the wetsuit, if it has a good fit, any will fit its purpose to keep you warm and I think the subgear seems to be a good choice.

Cheers

I've never seen one, but there are a few reasons I'd not buy one.
1: 1 pc/with a zipper. Zippers are bad unless they are drysuit zippers. A 2-pc open cell suit will keep water out if it fits right.
2: I can't tell what the material inside the suit is, but it appears that it's a lined suit to make it easier to get on/off. I think that because it states there are seals at the wrists/legs, which you don't need in an open-cell suit, because the whole suit is a seal.
3: no hood.
4: It's a stock suit, so unless you are 100% positive it will fit, then you might be in for a cold surprise.

You might not need these things where you're diving. I do.
Cheers,
Erik
