Submarine speargun

Sometimes to freshen up a product minor changes are made to revamp the appearance without making a big change to the compression molds which the blocks of rubber are "cooked" in. Different rubber grades are used for the foot pocket and blade sections, if you look closely at some fins you can see the swirl line where the two rubbers blended.

Just going back to the “Submarine” speargun, spearfishermen hate flimsy equipment and such stuff is soon exposed when a gun gets flung around in rough conditions whenever a diver is bowled over by waves or bounced around the rocks. Having been subjected to such treatment on many occasions any gear that did not survive went straight into the rubbish bin. May I suggest that was the fate of many of these guns with their thin and white brittle plastic handles?
