I've just learned that in 18th and 19th century, tobacco smoke enema (blowing tobacco smoke into the rectum) was used for resuscitating victims of near drowning: Tobacco smoke enema - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Seing that, I suggest AIDA and other training entities modify their procedure for rescuing a freediver after a blackout. Instead of the Tap-Talk-Blow (TTB) they should teach Tap-Talk-Blow-Tobacco-Smoke-up-the-Arse (TTBTSA).
Since smoke enema devices may be difficult to purchase these days, I suggest using water pipes instead - finally, divers in Egypt are quite familiar with them. They just need to learn using them the other way.
