Summer holidays...?

So with this cold wintry weather, out come the holiday brochures!!
It looks like i'm banned from returning to Sardegna next year - we cant keep going back to the same (amazing) place lol...
So i'm looking at Malta, Corsica,...
Malta looks quite built-up? has anyone been there ?
Corsica looks superb, less built up and more mountains, but whats the freediving like? (looking maybe at the South-East corner somewhere).
and pointers would be appreciated - and yes i've been through and searched the forums for info too

Thanks JKS, croatia does look good; i think we're liking the look of Porto on the west coast of Corsica at the moment...
