Sumora and RA

Just wanted to let you all know that Sumora.com doesn't sell RA guns anymore. I sent an email to them regarding an RA gun and they said they don't sell them anymore because "the Rabitechs are a bit quieter and more accurate than the RA's, the main reason we quit selling them."

Thanks Aesop, I was wondering why couldn't I find a singe RA on sumora website when it still sais that they are RA distributors.
As for their comment on Rabitchs vs RA - I think it can start a very heated discussion

Nick, If you looking for an R.A., I 've got one you can tryout next time we go diving. It's a 75cm, which is about perfect for the vis around here.

No problem Nick. I also think a pretty heated argument could be started, but that's for another thread. I guess the next best thing(s) for RA is flfreedivers.com or hanapaahawaii.net.

I cannot answer publically on the forum as it maybe viewed as being commercial. (ie Distributor pushing RA)
However, I must retaliate if someone says something that i view as untruthful i.e.
1. Why Sumora is not selling RA anymore.
2. Rabitech versus RA accuracy statement.

Here it is. I asked him about shipping to Oregon and why the Sumora Leven had a wierd price on it and this was his answer.....

Dear Chris,

Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we no longer carry Sumora Leven and I apologize for the website mess-up. The 1E+28 is simply error in code in the script for items that we no longer carry.

Shipping to Oregon would depend on size of the gun. The Rabitechs are a bit quieter and more accurate than the RA's; the main reason we stopped the RA distributorship. This is due in part to the polymer track which gives the metal to polymer glide, suppressing the noise.

In most instances, 100cm guns and below do not have balloon-rate shipping, whilst 110cm guns and above do (USPS). Usually takes 1-3 days to Oregon via usps Priority Mail.

Dear All,

It appears I must have been misinformed and I apologize for any damage I have done both to RA and Fl Freedivers, especially since Mike and Cherryl are great people; while the aforementioned reasons I reported to Chris(aesop) did play a part according to those who worked before me, there were additional reasons as well such as not having a B+M store; admittedly, I began helping Sumora in November 2004, at which time Sumora was clearing all its RA inventory and ending its distributorship of RA guns, so I was not involved with the choice of whether or not to continue the distributorship.

So no, we no longer sell RA guns, thanks guys and once again my apologies.
