Heading out friday we found clean water (6 to 10'!) at the Charleston Jetties, but our find was short lived as we were soon chased off by several thunderstroms. We stuck it out for as long as possible but when the lightning started popping really close we hauled butt for the boat and ran back to the ramp. No pics of this day, but we were left with dreams of clean water when we supposed to return 2 days later.

Sunday morning fast approached and we loaded the boat and headed back out with hopes to run further offshore for the Aj's and bigger fish. Menacing clouds hung just offshore and we watched several bolts of lightning as we approached the rocks. No thunder and the clouds were not close enough to bother us so we jumped in for a quick shoot before attempting the run offshore. We never made it offshore as the 1-2 foot forecast was pushing 4-6' swells at a close interval. A bit much for an 18' boat.

The viz was about 3/4 of what we had on Friday and very huntable. I passed up alot of fish, missed shots on fish, and saw fish I couldn't get shots on.

Kevin did make a surprising find of positivley identifying a nice snapper in the rocks that would not offer a shot.

We totalled out 15 sheeps and 2 spades that I shot w/ one shot. (my 1st double!)

Back towards the landing we got sandwiched in between two storms, one coming from behind and one sitting right in front of the ramp...We waited it out as long as we could and finally bit the bullet choosing to run through the storm in front of us, obviously we made it home safe.
