There is a swim to Herm on Sunday 7th September in the early afternoon. A friend is doing it along with about a dozen other swimmers. He contacted me to ask if I was interested in helping out.

Each swimmer must be accompanied by someone in a small craft - either a kayak or a dinghy etc with a throw rope. There will also be larger safety boats.

The person in the small craft is responsible for keeping an eye on the specific swimmer and contacting the safety boats in case of trouble.

If you are interested and can definitely commit to it then send me a PM and I'll pass on your details to my friend John.

Thanks
Ed

(More details later - think there are some places for kayakers to come back with their kayaks on the Herm boat but to be confirmed).

As you know Ed, I'm in. Do you think they'd notice if I slipped my swimmer my Ice fins so we win? Either way I'm off to get me a megaphone so I can shout ast him/her!

Let us know how the swim / paddle went Ed/Tom - must have been fun paddling back into wind? good day for it tho.

Never heard back from my neighbour about details so binned it unfortunately...
