Just thought i'd post this as i know loads of people now have a GoPro (including me as of christmas day, woop woop).
Its a really simple GoPro mount for the comanche made from 15mm x 2mm aluminium strip (less than 2 quid for enough to make at least 4 from B&Q).
I won't bore you with the details of twisting and bending it 'cos its pretty obvious from the photo's but i will tell you about why i chose 15mm.
If you look at the photo's there is one of a loading pad with no mount. This is how they are new. You will see there are 3 strips (or 2 grooves) in it. I removed (with a craft knife and some sand paper) the middle strip and the 15mm ally (with some sanding and persuasion) fits snuggly in between the other 2. there is plenty of space to put 2 good bolts through to hold it in place (the ones in the picture are just for test purposes).
It seems fairly sturdy (only moving slightly with a bit of pulling and pushing) so i should be ok in the tide).
The gap between the edge of the ally and the top and bottom strip of the gun butt in the picture are where i have filed the mount edge in that area so i can add some paint and plasticoat. i also intend to add rubber washers to the GoPro connection end just to make it a grippy, snug fit.
P.S. If you're wondering about the moded housing i can tell you its based on this:

but thinner (and hopefully neater). I have tested it in the sink for water tightness but it still needs a proper sea trial.
