Yeah. I will redesign my equippment and will try it again.

Murat sounds Like a reasonable attempt considering new gear etc and you enjoyed it so thats cool
Ivan I only use a bout 10m of floatline and since Im pretty ordinary on breathhold it doesnt worry me often -but i am getting a longer one ,actually I have made it just need to att it to float.
However I havent botherd yet as most dives i have been doing are only in 10m of water and near rocks excess line is also a hassle.

Hey Peter,

I was exactly in the same condition. I was hunting around rocks and more than 10 meter line was hassle. Evertime i spear the fish, i have to go back to floatline. But after i saw some wooden stuff that you wrap your floatline on it and you can take out line as much as you need. The rest of the line stay on that wood. It was locally made but omer has one for same job. They call it line winder.http://www.omersub.com/omer/catalog/buoys/p6.htm

This wooden device is very usefull. Strongly recommend to you buy one.

Murat thanks for the reply.
Instead of making yourself swim back to the float after each fis to string it you could use a speed spike or speed stringer Basically a stainless rod with a loop at one end for a spike or both for a stringer this is on the gun end of your float rope and attaches to the gun with a shark clip or tuna clip (as used by long line fishermen to att dropper lines to main line) this clip is on a rope attached to your gun and clipd to loop in float lineafter shooting a fish leave it on the spear and kill with spike or knife then thread spike or stringer through its gills and out the mouth attach line back to clip push fish up line a few feet remove spear load gun and keep swimming to find next fish fish on stringer will be pushed up to float by water when you swim.
Regards Peter
