You've got your boat ready to go in January? You're keen! I've been pondering whether to take the rod out flattie fishing but thinking the early cold snap early this month might make it fruitless.

any sign of those elusive pine fish yet?
Last I heard heading to Kent, the Channel shipping lanes & even on to the mouth of the Thames. They reckon some will end up in Sussex & Dorset -- so watch out guys:D. Think I'll start a new thread on UK salvage laws.

X, will dive a soon as the water goes clear usually Mid March but have been in in February. First comp 2nd May at Bognor so have got to get some practice in.

Hi, First dive of the year today launched at Shoreham fished down towards Brighton. No luck and no fish seen. Viz was okay.

Kev.

It felt like my head was going to explode for the first twenty minutes.

Viz was ok 3-4m in places.

Kev

Fished bognor sat, High tide running like a train, dived for 2 and a half hours, got cold, saw 1 fish about 4lb got no shot. viz was good, could make out the dark shapes of the rocks in 40ft!

Had a good dive in Portland Harbour two weeks ago taking 12 Scollops all big and in perfect condition also picked up a 2lb flounder by hand and let it go again. Fished out of Shoreham on 1st March my dive buddy had three good fish off a wreck in
50ft and a dark 6ft viz.

Three fish , nice start to the season and 50ft/15m impressive so early , your mate must be pretty good .

Eric,

Which species?

Regards,

Gaz

Gaz D this is one of the best site's that I have seen very straight forward and easy to use, it is being run by one of the best young divers in the county who is also a member of the British Underwater Hocky team.
The species were very edible and go well with chips.
