For all of those that have the Suunto D3, i know you can set a time alarm but does it have the option to set an alarm for when you hit a certain depth?

You can set a depth alarm but unfortunately most people cannot hear it if they are wearing a wetsuit. It can be heard quite easily if you strap the D3 to your head so it sits right outside your ear. This is what Mandy Cruickshank often does.

Louder alarms can be found on the Apneist, Aqualand Duplex and Stinger.

You could also take the whole strap off and put the D3 inside your hood, close to your ear.

bigdiver,
you have 2 dive alarms on your free mode, depth and time and you can set them both at the same time.

I dive without a hood. Do you guys think I will be able to hear it okay without a hood?

I didn't have troubles hearing the alarm with 3mm hood but have a fairly good depth sence of my own so know when to expect the alarm. I now use a citizen Aqualand for my depth/time alarm this works fine for me, but wear 2 watches :head
