Suunto D3 interface problems??

After installing Suunto Dive Manager, i never seem to be able to hook up my D3to my laptop to download my memory. i always get the same message:

The transfret of the profile memory timed out.
Ensure that your dice computer is in its transfer mode, clean the contacts and try again.


is there anything that i can do?? any imput? i am currently using a "Serial-to-USB" converter because i dont have a serial port in my laptop...

any suggestions?

ahahahha i got it to work... i just had the watch on the wrong way...loooool...all that cussing for nothing
