Dear Suunto D9tx owners.
After years of annoyment with Suuntos great looking but terrible strap, that seem to have kept me in an ever present worry of loosing my dive computer again (lost a D4 years back), I finally got around to find a decent hack to fix the D9tx with a nato strap / zulu strap / G10 strap.
The hack requires a the following:
-Lugs from a Suunto Core strap set.
-Screwers / pins from two D9tx strap sets.
-22mm zulu strap / nato strap / G10 strap. I got a Geckota Zuludiver 30cm strap. But if you wear the computer on thick suite and/or gloves, I suggest you take a look at the Maratec Nitrox 17" strap.
-Removable thread lock to fixate the thread holding the pins together.
-Set of small screwdrivers.
-Optional, I think its possible to improve strength of the pins with some corrosion resistant metal tube ID ~2mm (not tested).
Hope you found this usefull.
Best regards
