When I come up from every dive, I seem to be swallowing over and over again until I reach the surface. Is it normal? Is it a bad thing or good thing to do?

Some discussions on swallowing, lots of jokes but some interesting stuff:

happens to me quite a bit on deeper freedivers and longer statics. never bothered thinking about it to much...

Pleeeeease let's have a joke-free swallowing thread...

In Freediving Training and Techniques perhaps...

why don't you just change the post to swallowing air -the open ended question with obvious double meaning is just too inviting to any one with a sick sense of humour.
Anyway I enjoyed a few laughs from it.
