Swiss Depth Championship 2006

On September 2nd 2006 the Swiss Underwater Sport Federation will host the Swiss Depth Championship in the lake of Zug in Switzerland as National open with guests AIDA freediving competition. The lake and the competition site is located in the scenic foothills of the Swiss alps 25km south of the city of Zurich (international airport and public transport to Zug) and only 5km from the city of Zug. Diving site with the moored float is only 50m from the lake shore. Full infrastructure provided, 5$ camping in the vicinity. Diving will take place from a moored float, 12mm rope, counter ballast system, lanyards required, surface temperature 23°C, temperature at depth down to 4°C at max. depth 70m (Yes we are sorry, but currently no Swiss guy wants to go deeper in the lake ;-) ). Yes, there are still vacant places. 20 starters sound like nothing, but the freediving community in Switzerland is small. Please send your interest to marco.melileo@winterthur-arag.ch - he's happy to provide you with more info.
Normally only FIM and CWT is allowed or both. But ask Marco for CNF if you have the intention to do it.

no results posted so far. the event was solid and well organized (thank you marco) but unspectacular as for the results. only one blackout i think and only one or two dives below 60m. bill has the results and will update the ranking soon.
