why does the shaft of my omer t20 often sit off or proud of the mechanism? It seems the factory mono line is very cumbersome and affects the manner in which the shaft can rest. Has anyone else dealt with this? Also with the closed barrel and the mono loop on the shaft surely there must be some drag created as the shaft exits the barrel. has anyone tried using hi test nylon in place of mono forthe line? To qualify it has been a good gun, but I'm a little frustrated by these aspects. by the by anyone have any tips on charters and such out of the outer banks. It'd been keenly appreciated. Peace. holdown

I bought a 110cm T20 this year and I also noticed that the spear sits "proud". I think it is to do with the line release being pushed upwards by the spearline pulling on the line release. It is very noticeable when using the standard 6.3mm shaft. On heavier shafts this problem is less. If it bothers you, have less line pressure on the release- make your spearline slightly longer. Or once you have loaded the gun, release the line pressure slightly on the line release- the powerbands will then be able to keep the spear down.

Jacques
