Hi,
I'm just starting to get in to spearfishing and really want to get myself a decent suit without busting the bank. I know its important to have a suit that fits well for comfort and warmth and as Ive always had problems getting anything that fits me because Im none too tall and rather broad, so.... I was wondering if anyone knew a company that makes tailored suits at a competetive price! any help would be greatly apreciated,
Thanks :)

Diveskin are very good value, a lot cheaper & faster service than Elios for a custom suit but perhaps not quite the same quality?

I'll check them out thanks :) Any idea how much the cheapest 5mm suit would cost? I cant see a price on the tailored suits.

Also I'm in the market for some fins as well if anyone has tips on where to get a decent pair with a reasonable price tag? Heard the cressi gara's are a good pair and not too pricey, though ive also heard they favour people with narrow feet? ie. not me.... cheers

Hi!
Elios 5mm suit will probably cost about 250€ (price depends on a lot of factors). Send e-mail to Elios and ask suit for your needs, they will tell u exact price then :) Tailor made adds 30€ ;)

As fins i strongly recommend fiberglass or carbon fins! Dont waste your money on cheap plastic or what else.

I use Leaderfins Waves Carbon for fishing and dynamics.
Fiberglass is a bit cheaper but pretty same performance.
LeaderFins.com

Good luck! :)

Very good price and quality ratio!

If you're after saving a bit of money then there's often kit on ebay. There's a few pieces of used and new stuff on there now, just do a search for "spearfishing".

Good luck

Thanks for the help guys! I'll email elios and see what they can do though 250 is prob a little out of my budget! Didnt think to check ebay actually, have to do it when I get home as ebay is blocked on my work computer.......... LeaderFins looks very reasonable actually, thanks for the link! I think the stereoblades WAVES fiberglass look spot on, but I guess they dont come with foot pockets as they dont say anything about size, any recomendations where to go for them? Apologies for the endless questions, just want to make sure I can get the most bang for my buck!

There are stereoFINS and stereoBLADES, FINS are with footpockets ;)
These are nice: LeaderFins.com
:) :)

NB! I repeat, dont waste money on plastic fins! U will regret it :)

Thanks for the advice Martin! To be honest these seem very reasonably priced in comparison to the plastics anyhow. Is there a decent guide to measuring your feet accurately? I have rather wide feet and I'm probably going to be wearing 3mm socks as well, just really want to make sure I get a pair that fit perfectly.
Cheers

Leaderfins have their own footpockets, these are pretty much clone of Omer Stingray but softer.
If u can, try Omer footpocket somewhere, but dont forget to wear socks!
If u cant try, then send your foot lenght (cm) to Leaderfins and how thick socks are you wearing, they will know what size u need then :)
For me, they sent exactly right size, superb ;)

I have the camo version of the fibreglass Leaderfins fins AND a pair of Cressi 2000LD plastic fins. I didnt realise how tight the cressi fins were in terms of width until I tried the leaderfins. If you've got wide feet then you should have no trouble with the leaderfins.

Sounds good to me, I think I'll get in touch with them to make sure they fit perfect. Thanks again for the tips guys :)
