Hi all

I'm about to head off on another documentary shoot and I'm still trying to locate the ideal mask for filming. My 2 criteria are LOW volume and NO colour, i.e. clear silicone skirt and clear frame. My last shoot was with the Cressi Minima which comes in "all clear", but the design is with really small eye windows, which looks a little odd on camera. My personal favourite mask for TV is the Aqualung Falco, but I have never managed to find it with a clear frame. Can anyone help?!

Also, just in case I go for a mask with a silver frame (I'm just a girl so like to be colour-coordinated and it would look fab with the silver suit :girlie ), has anyone tried the Scubapro Freedom?

Thanks!!

Tanya

im happy with my Cressi Focus. Look under scuba for the clear version.

Hi yer, try croxley divers near Watford herts tele no 01923 777700 all the best Ted

I bought a ScubaPro Freedom from DiveInn to try it out. Mine was clear with a blue frame.

The mask is extremely compressible, almost as compressible as the sphera. I could take it to about 25m without equalizing it.

However, on my face, the mask would leak if I delayed equalizing it even a little bit. Strangely, when the mask is compressed around my face it has a very low volume (but it leaks in that situation). If I keep equalizing it, it doesn't leak, but at 'full equalization' it is quite inflated and has a volume much bigger than the sphera, though smaller than more common masks.

I hope that helps. On an unrelated note it is one of the only masks that works with a nose clip on the outside.

How about the Cressi Lince 2? It is supposed to be very low volume. I prefer the slightly larger Cressi Matrix which has a wider range of vision but the Lince is designed for smaller folk.

I don't think the Omer Spearo masks come in clear unfortunately -- I don't know why, clear is the ultimate mimetec. However, I think blue or green camo can look very fetching;). "Green camo the new black"(?)
