Tonight is a repeat of Dive Galapagos.
Says Radiotimes.com
World champion freediver Tanya Streeter is in the Galapagos Islands to discover how freediving has evolved since the time of the dinosaurs
.

Catch it if you can!:)

I enjoyed that, she is so graceful and a splendid site in that wetsuit! I didn't know she had an English accent!

I want to swim with penguins and sea lions (and dolphins)! Anything around Malta?

In the AAT group, we were discussing how many marine animals excrete excess salt from their bodies via tears, sneezing, spouting, regurgitating concentrated saline. Tina mentioned this about Tanya's experience on the Galapagos:

"Tanya Streeter in the movie "Freediver" dove with marine iguanas,
and then sat on the shore with them. She watched the iguanas squirt
salty mucous up in the air, and very often on her. She laughed and
said it was quite disgusting, being covered in iguana snot".

:inlove Sounds like a real dream date on the beach! rofl DDeden

I've just seen this (recorded) - amazing footage of the penguins and sea lions at the end... and of course fantastic footage of Tanya - I met the guy who directed it last summer - somebody Honeybourne - he said that the camera man could hold his breath for 6 minute dives... not sure if that is correct but at any rate some fine filming (he told his wife it was hell to be away from home... filming on a luxury yacht... with a 6 foot blond... who dressed in silver neoprene :) - I can imagine !).

Anyway really inspired me - off tomorrow to some outer islands in search of a fish or two and there is a seal colony near there too so might see one ? Hopefully not when fishing ... I'm sure they'd show me up :) (pix to follow hopefully on the Guernsey thread...might even drag out the Nik III)

Only just realised i missed this, and i dont think it will be on again :head .....is there any fellow freediver out there who recorded this in the UK who wouldnt mind sending me a copy? :wave

all post and material costs covered.........pretty please.....

thanks in advance for any help

I recorded it on DVD+, missing off the first few seconds. I would be happy to lend it to you if it is compatible. I'm probably not too far from you.

Hi, watery smile, THANKS!!!...not bothered about a few seconds...I have a dvd recorder which plays most things, are you able to copy the disk onto another dvd R? if so i could post you a new blank one with a stamped addressed envelope etc to retrun it in?

Thanks again

I can't copy the disk (a RW) but if you are able to then no problem. Just pm your address and I can post it v soon. Then you too can do an iguana snort.

Thanks waterysmile, i really appreciate that! I have PM'd you with my address etc.

Many thanks

Tanya Streeter is originally from the UK. She went to school at Roedean near Brighton.
