I have a Beuchat Marline Elite 95cm and I was thinking of changing my barrel from a 95cm to a 105cm. I will also be using an alemmani roller head so I think this upgrade would benefit me.

What can you tell me about teak? I was thinking of makin the barrel out of teak and then also laminating the teak with a thin carbon fibre layer for looks since I hate the colour of wood.

What type of barrel form should I go for? I was thinking of making a barrel that resembles the Beuchat Carbon Elite barrel, would that be strong enough to support a roller head bands strain?

Thank you.

Any info and suggestions appreciated :)
