If you are holidaying in Thailand and want to go spearing,
For more than 14 years i have lived 5 minutes from the clear waters of the Andaman sea in Aonang krabi province.

We spear by long tail boat (to keep costs down)all the local islands and reefs.

Are captain is family and has generations of experience spearing/fishing the Andaman.

No chances of gun confiscation/fines

no problems with national park boundaries

no hassle from the local dive shops .

For offshore spearing the best sites koh racha yai/koh racha noi from aonang/krabi is just to far to do comfortably in a day .
It is best to access these sites from Phuket ,
you can do in a day and is a lot cheaper than from aonang/krabi.

There is a company that is diving these sites regularly from Phuket ,i heard they are top bunch of lads.
Phuket to Aonang ferry runs everyday from aonang national park, short but stunning journey.

Pick up from hotel before sunrise in aonang ,
we are on the 1st dive site with in 40 minutes of leaving your hotel.

I DO NOT CLAIM TO NOT MAKE ANY PROFIT FROM VISITING SPEAROS , ALL POSSIBLE PROFITS FROM DAYS OUT SPEARING GO TO MY UNCLE ,INCLUDING THE GAS FOR THE BOAT TO THE SELLING OF THE FISH ,to the colorfull collection of squid lures.
WE ALWAYS GIVE BACK TO LOCAL COMMUNITY IT IS THERE WATERS THAT WE ARE SPEARING IN.
