I got my Timex HRM with 50 laps lost (or was robbed of it...)
In fact I mainly used it as a multi lap stopwatch, very useful for static training...
I always suspected that it could not stand water... I got some problems with the so called Indiglo lightning...
I used my Timex HRM as an HRM while rollerskating or on other occasions, but never in water (I was too much afraid of spoiling it)
Last Wednesday, I organized a static training session with a group of 6 people and I disposed of an old 8 lap diving watch...
8 laps were by far not sufficient ;
I went to Decathlon (the biggest sports hypermarket chain in France) today and had a look :
1. on the multi lap stopwatches
2. on the HRMs...
I decided to dissociate the stopwatch from the HRM functions and I bought the Ironman Triathlon 100 Lap Sleek (http://www.timex.com/bin/detail.tmx?item=048148549333) which seems to be a very decent 100 lap stopwatch with a very clear viewing (big characters)...
I am just a little bit afraid that water contact might damage this stopwatch ... Who owns this stopwatch ?
If this stopwatch does not create problems to me due to water, this seems to be an excellent tool for organizing static training sessions...
I also envisage to buy an HRM, but I would do it if I am sure I can use it in freediving and at a reasonable depth (40-50 m)...
Please give your experiences about it...
I think that you have while freediving other fish to fry than looking at your HRM.. then the storing of data during the dive seem to me utmost important, don't they ?
Is it possible - and at what price - to get a HRM which could decently store HRM data during a dive, with different phases...
Thanks for your contributions ...
