I just wanted to put out that the cressi 2000 hf fins are officially the best fins on the market for the price....mine have lasted two seasons and look SUPER beat up, but other than the scratches, they still work perfectly! Anyone else share my opinion or have a contender?

i have my fins for about 10 years or so

High powerful fin for deep diving
Foot pocket material: The foot pocket is made up of several rubber compounds to deliver superior comfort either with socks or bare foot
Blade material: Blade made of Hi-resistant Tecnopolymer material

the pair cost me 100 euros
the cressi gara 2000 is about twice that price and definitly not twice good as genesis

I am happy that you found such a great deal!! I have a super limited selection here in Guam but i had a friend of mine refer me to the Cressi fins. I have never heard of that brand GENESIS before....could you post a link, perhaps i could purchase them and post a comparison.....if that could be helpful.

-Pete

I feel a little unintelligent since i didnt know about the brand vs model.....thanks for the link!

Thats funny i spent 125 usd on my cressi's about the same as 100 euro's

Boy it is hard to think the cressis are the best fins ever, I can't stand them, the base of the foot pocket is too soft, it cramp me right away.

Glad you are a happy customer. But hold the award - that's nothing special I'm afraid (Omer Ice owners may disagree). My Beuchat fins must be going on for around twice that & my old Britmarine fins are around 33 years old - don't use them much these days but I could My speedo pool fins are around the same age as the Beuchats and I recently sold my stubby Zoomer training fins after about 15 years - they'd seen reasonable use but still looked like new.

Alright...... So perhaps they aren't quite "THE BEST FIN EVER".... but a 35 year old pair of fins....i don't think anything could contend with that.....to be honest Mr X i couldn't imagine that ......seeing as how your fins are older than i am.

I have never owned a pair of Omer fins, a friend of mine owns a pair and the portion of the fin which is holding the blade in is coming off. I heard that the Omer ice fin snaps if you put a good amount of pressure on the blade (just from diving, not standing on the blade or jumping up and down on it) Granted the monstrosity of a man who owned those fins also bent a 6' crowbar last night with only his bare hands....i hope you see what i am getting at. From my current perspective and the way i abuse my gear (walking out backwards over razor sharp coral almost everyday...thats because i hate stone-fish more than i love my fins) these fins are perfect for me (until you hook me up with a pair of your fins Mr X)

Pete

fishmani: comon man, dont step on coral... get a pair of crocs. they float, and then just put them on your float through your float-line.
i have a pair of omer BAT 25's love them. i have abused the living daylights out of them, and they are still performing well.

beuchat competition.. about same price and can upgrade to fiberglass and carbon by changing the fin blades.. cressi cannot upgrade fin blades.. and beuchat foot pockets much more comfortable... imho..

.....and this footpocket is too tight, and that footpocket is too soft, too wide, too hard, the cramps, the blisters, the Holy Mary....blah blah blah.
YOU'RE A BUNCH OF PICKY PAMPERED PUSSIES! :vangry
In the good old days a REAL MEN would never bother to be so picky: what in hell has happened to the MALE gender???!!!.
Get whatever fins and KEEP YOUR FAT ASS MOVING! that will do good, not the fins. Amen. :thankyou

Like Mr. X, I've got a pair of Britmarine fins from the 1970s and I will occasionally give them a workout when I'm doing some gentle sea snorkelling. I started back in the early 1960s using all-rubber full-foot fins and I've never felt inclined to go underwater swimming, as we used to call it back then in the UK, shod in any other way since.

I'm glad Fishimani has found his "best fins ever", because locating fins that not only fit one's feet well length-, width- and height-wise but also match one's swimming style and strength can be something of an odyssey. Over five decades I've chanced upon a handful of fin models that suit my foot dimensions precisely and I rotate their use.

I have too say I am also one of the few who does not like the Cressi Gara 3000
They just don't convert enough of my energy into propulsion. Also I get cramps. I got a pair of Sporasub elites and they are totally different. Very nice cheap fins. And you can change the blades to fiber or carbon.

This is just my opinion. Try them both. I think the new sporasub instinct could be a nice fin also. My best all time fin, where a pair of Metalsub carbon. I don't think they make them anymore. And sadly I sold mine because I was very poor at the time

my seac sub genesis have also removable blade....
i guess the fins are good if u get comfortable with them in time...
i tryed cressi gara and i find my old seac sub better....

i guess the fins are good if u get comfortable with them in time...

RIGHT!!

i felt comfortable with two (yes, man, i said "two") pairs of SPORASUB VARIANT.... :blackeye :headand now i realize it's been unbelievable....

There isn't the "BEST" fin, there isn't the "MOST COMFORTABLE FOOTPOCKET". There may be a good dealer who allows to check them (at least the footpockets). Just try, try and try....
