Sorry everyone, I hate to let you down but things are not looking good for completing the film. I have not found any further support. I will keep trying for 2 more weeks before I take the website down and shelf the footage.

And what about releasing the footage "as is"? Finally, if I remember well, it was already presented in a preliminary version to a limited public, and was rather appreciated, so if there are no means to complete it, why not just releasing it instead of ditching it completely? I for one would not mind seeing it even if it is not completed.

I have a copy of the rough cut and it is very good as it is. I think Sky being the artist he is would much rather release it in a version closer to what he wanted.
In it's present state it would benefit with even just the planned addition of a voiceover.
It would be a shame to release an inferior version when it is so close to the end.
I can't let anybody see the version I have but if Sky gave the okay I think there are at least some individual water scenes that would be worthy of releasing.
The best result would be if people were able to make a small donation to Sky to finish his project. He has risked and almost lost everything to make this project happen and it would be a shame if he didn't at least get enough return to stave off bankruptcy.

Actually, someone just did something very similar in this site The Great Fiasco of the Last War | The Great Fiasco of the Last War, they are selling tickets in advance and they are trying to raise 6Million$ for this. Maybe this would help to save the project? or give you some time for other stuff while the necessary money is being collected?

Well, 30 grand is a relatively small sum compared to 6 million dollars. So maybe the idea of asking money for pre-orders in advance isn't such a bad idea after all. Of course, it depends how many people really have pre-ordered.

30 grand is still a lot of money. I don't think Sky needs it all at once just something to keep the creditors from repossessing his possessions. Why don't you PM him and see if you can give SOMETHING. You may get your name listed as Executive Producer. If this works it will be a team effort on the part of many in the worldwide freediving community.
Have you got even $100 to spare - it all adds up. I given what I can.
