i ordered it and received about 5 weeks later. The acting was very poor and it said based on a true story (whose story?) it wasn't Audrey's story exactly. just curious.

also some of the tecnniques were strange (the champion doing static in the pool and recovering from her static as if she had been shot in the @ss, that was quite funny).

Big Blue still rules....

hahaha yes. and at record attempts i dont think they just let them float around without a spotter and without ok signals. on the making of it i think it shows the woman whos story it was, danai somthing.

mmm... lets discuss this on Skype later!!!!

No sleep for you tonight sweety :p
Peace,
Erik Y.

Before my purchase I thought that I was so into freediving I would enjoy it regardless how bad the acting and script was. Boy I was wrong! I guess after watching 1,000’s of movies in a lifetime, I couldn’t put away the critic part of me long enough to enjoy the beautiful photography and subject. What I found the most offending was the poor attempt to copy the Big Blue theme.

It was kind of cool to get a personalize e-mail from the director, writer, actor - Alki David.

For anyone who has seen Oceanmen and The Freediver, how does Oceanmen compare to it? I don’t want to buy another movie unless it’s substantially better than this one.
don

Hi Don,

Oceanmen is actually 45 minutes long, and is much better experienced in a blow-up-your-brain IMAX theater than on DVD if and when it comes out. It's still playing in IMAX theaters I believe, although you probably have to hunt for one near you.

Does not compare at all to The Freediver. It's more documentary than 'fiction'.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
can you get that autographed for me rofl rofl rofl
:inlove :inlove

I have the 1.5 hour Discovery Channel Oceanmen documentary on video. It is an awesome movie, I have watched it more times than I can remember, certainly WAY more times than the big blue.

The 'freediver' movie rates 0.0 on a scale of 1 to 10.

I'm so glad I have the freediver DVD... of course not for the movie, but for the record footage that's on it as well!

well I still never received mine... but its ok I think I can live without it!

only relieved that I was too.....errr....... "tall" to be selected as one of the stunt divers.... quite glad NOT to have the association with that particular film!
