No, I am not talking about the smell of chlorine after pool training, nor the oder of spearo's who just hugged carp or freedivers who do not rinse their suit 'as it will become wet anyway the next time':mute...... No, I'm talking real perfume.

In Holland we just had Mother's Day, and are slowly heading to Father's Day. And since we have a (foster)kid, there's presents coming in the early hours on the third Sunday of June. As I have socks (thanks), never wear a tie, and own a kindle, it will probably be some aftershave/perfume this time. Normaly chosen by the misses of course, but I thought it would be nice for a change to choose the perfume that says: 'Me, Freediver!' :thankyou

So what is the oder Jacques and Enzo wore to their competition parties?. And what do you wear?. Is there a common factor? A perfume that we unknowingly choose as freedivers?

Enlighten me, tell me what your poison is, and of course for the ladies over here reading this....What do YOU want us to smell like?:hmm

Not sure if Enzo or Jacques wore any perfume, but once when traveling in Corsica, we found an amazing little perfume laboratory in Bastia. It looked really like an old alchemist laboratory, with an old "crazy scientist" doing his experiments there. He spent perhaps two hours with us, showing us his secrets, and explaining all we asked. Although I am not really a fan of cosmetics, I finally chose one personalized perfume too. I still have it - it is called "Arba Marina", with a marine smell. The laboratory is called Laboratories Cyrnarom, in Bastia, Corsica (France). If you travel there, it is definitely worth of stopping by.

I am not sure whether they have their own website, but if interested, you could call them - the address and phone number are for example here: Laboratoire Parfumerie Cyrnarom - Bastia, Haute-Corse

I just found a local store on Corsica offering the perfume for 38€, but if you really want to try it, it may be less expensive ordering it directly from the laboratory. You can be pretty sure you won't easily meet anyone else wearing the same smell :)

PS: and if you ask them, they will produce a personalized perfume specially for you even with some neoprene smell in it :)

Old Spice Classic? "Make way, the mermaids say, for the man who uses Old Spice."

As always an excellent story Trux, I will definitely look in to it.
And Oldsarge, are you sure that this:
Old Spice Classic? "Make way, the mermaids say, for the man who uses Old Spice."
doesn't mean they see it as some sort of shark repellent? rofl
