Hi everyone,

I know there have been posts in a few other discussion topics about The French Job which is currently underway in Anitbes and following Sébastien Murat's research into his new technique in free-diving.

We've received some excellent questions and very constructive criticism from the members of DeeperBlue so I wanted to start a new topic dedicated to this and say thank you for all of your involvement. It means a lot to us and to Séb!

It's almost over for us but obviously Séb will continue on and over the next little while it will be exciting to watch his progress and experiments with empty lung free-diving. I've written all of the posts in English, the others are from all over the world and it's been amazing working with them for the past few weeks.

Here are a few on-topic posts for you:

And off topic but cool, on my own travel blog:

I'll have more for you and an update on how Seb went diving today a bit later when I see him.

Cheers all!

Denea - keep us informed as we'd love to report on how Seb is doing on the editorial side.

Ah, I have another question Denea for you :) This project is called The French Job, it happens indeed in France, Seb has family roots in France, there are French safety divers, the sponsor comes from the francophone Switzerland, in France there is far the biggest freediving community worldwide, but there is no French reporting, no French blogger, and not a single news about Seb in French. Even the biggest French freediving magazine Apnéa reports only about Herbert, and not a single word about Sebastien. I find it rather strange both from the marketing point of view of the sponsor, as well as from the view of the French freediving community. Was it an accidental ommision, or is that some reason for not reporting in French?

What is good for David Blaine is not good for Sébastien Murat. (

I have applied for the Towel - which I need desperately as all my other towels have been destroyed by Algae.

Oh no! I finally found this thread! Somehow I managed to miss all the Action! Well fortunately I can relive it through the blogs and posts. I´m puzzled with not hearing more about it though...
