Plaice: 6lb 10 oz.
my report is also on the Guernsey thread; another kayak dive mainly following my theme for the year of hunting for flatties. this one was found in just 7.2m water depth on a big low tide. i was doing drift dives on the edge of the strong tide and this fish was right in a gulley. took a moment to work out the outline, then i focussed...!!!
i have included the weighing pictures as it was too big to put directly on the scales! [9lb 6oz - 2lb 12oz = 6lb 10oz].

White bream 1.01kg
whitebreamFOMentry.jpg

Caught west coast of Jersey in 35feet, at low water, came out from beneath a rock to look at me. For a moment thought it might be big enough to reclaim the British record but unfortunately not quite (record is held by my good friend Cobus and stands at 1.09Kg).

This was the last fish caught on a great fun dive. Went with my friend Louis in my dinghy "Gunfishin" .Big low tide. Fished it dropping. Didn't see any big bass but spent some time looking for flatties. We saw tons of rays. At the end of the dive we had seven species. The bream, two small turbot, two plaice, a sole,a small bass, a nice pollack and two moderate mullet.
