well i figured that it would be good to put up a sticky thread that has where everybody is from on it (disregard if one exists) so i and others can find dive partners i dont have any friends that are competent enough in the water so i gotta start looking
i will just add them to the list as i get the info
i will go first

There was also a Google map of DB users somewhere. You will certainly find it in the archive. Or you can have a look at the User Map of APNEA.cz members (which includes a big deal of DB members too). Currently there are ~1000 users on the map (or optionally ~2500 including those who did not entirely complete the registration), so be patient while it is loading - it is rather huge. Or better yet, enter the name of your country to limit the search and cut the loading time - for example:

U.S.A @ APNEA.cz.
France @ APNEA.cz
Germany @ APNEA.cz
... etc.

The global map (huge!) is at this URL: APNEA.cz - Freediving Buddies Map

... and another way to find buddies is either posting in the search buddy forums here on DB, or even quicker - simply going to the Advanced Member search (DeeperBlue Forums - Members List - Search) and entering a keyword into the Location field. I find that much more comfortable than if everyone is posting here about his location and you will then have to browse through tens of thousands of posts in this thread (assuming every DB member listens to your call to post here :D )
