I was going to go spearfishing in Mendota, but Tedski bailed on me so I hit the outlet instead.
Water wasn't flowing but the weather was nice and I headed out to the inlet pipe, It stands at least 10' tall and sits in 25' of water. There were a couple of anchors and at least one dead carp in the area. Not very interesting compared to spearing, but at least I got wet and played around with the monofin for a while.
The wind was up, so vis was down, and the water was still hanging at 2C (36F) degrees. They have a nice floating ice fence, to keep the snowmobilers out, but the lake is wide open so there's not much need for it right now.
