I've been searching quite a bit on the subject of Rigging Reels....with some pictures for easier understanding on how the whole process is done........But can't seem to find detailed explanation on this subject.

Any expert opinion would be great........I bought a reel for my Rabi and really don't know what to do to properly rig it......a bit of embarrassment I would say:duh

Thanksrofl

What klnd of reel did you buy? If its like the Omer, Rob Allen, and Aimrite reels it has a little hole in the side plate. You insert the end of the line in the hole from the inside out and tie a simple overhand knot in it. If it doesn't have a hole, you can tie the line around the spool arbor, but I prefer to use a couple of zip ties.

After the line is wound onto the reel, I make a loop in the end with a bowline or overhand knot and then run the loop through the eye of a snap swivel or pigtail swivel. The the swivel attaches to a loop in the rear end of your shooting line.
