It is with great pleasure that Sub7Seas is able to announce the launch of The Ibiza Freediving Grand-Prix, to be held between the 25-27th of May 2007.
An international freediving contest of the purest form, athletes are required to dive totally unassisted. The grand-prix is designed to gives athletes of all levels, age and sex a fair chance of winning the hefty and coveted cash prize of US$5,000.
The new and unique competition format has less to do with reaching great depth than simply demonstrating great watermanship, self-control and awareness in the natural state.
In order to win, one simply has to dive as close as possible to one's nominated mark; those reaching great depth are nevertheless rewarded for their efforts. To find out more go to Sub7Seas Freediving
