The closest place I have to freedive near Dallas, TX is a rock quarry called Clear Spring Scuba Park about an hour away in Terrell, TX. The quarry is only about 58' feet deep at its deepest spot, but they have a few items sunk in the water to keep it interesting. One of the items is a Shorts 330 Skyvan airplane body with the wings and tail removed. It still has the remanants of the passenger seats and the cockpit. It used to be American Airlines commuter plane. It only about 30' feet down to go inside, so its an easy freedive to the door and still have plenty of time to poke around inside. They removed pretty much anything a diver could get snagged on before they sunk it, so its safe to go swimming inside. The first picture is what they looked like before when they were new and how this one looks now. The last photo is looking down at the top of the pilots compartment, the escape hatch is visible without the door

A few more pics of the interior. The first one is my brother about to enter the door. The dozen passenger seats have pretty much decayed away. You can see the American Airline striped colors down the side and on the door. There are usually a few fish swimming inside.
