These cool things called plats!

This certainly looks like it would make it alot easier to tow lots of pounds of fish flesh around! Safer too for the Salty's where sharks and seals abound! :mute

They call them PLATS in New Zealand....Pretty cool. Several different designs out there too! I think they'd be ideal for my style of spearfishing...Atleast a little bit smaller one anyways. It get's kinda hard pulling big fish around on a stringer even if it's attached to a good "standard" spearfishing float like the Atoll or a R.A.

If I had the time I could make one! Someday I'm gonna make me a few of these....maybe just a bit smaller though. Fiberglass & Gelcoat is EASY stuff once you know how. Just a little time consuming to do a good job.

I bet they are pretty pricey if you don't make it yourself!

Anyone know of anyone who sells these things in the U.S.? Just curious...

If you have a plat yourself, do you like it...Got any pictures you'll post for us? Thanks!
