They Wouldn't Train Me , Can I Train Myself? Help!

Because I am a "lady"
22 a fish in water, I really want to learn how to freedive but in Kuwait there are 2 instructors only and will not offer me the courses. I was wondering if it would be safe to train myself and if so how to go about doing so.
I want to go deep . Any advice would be deeply appreciated.

Eventually yes, but in the immediate future quite unlikely due to lack of funds.

You really need to find a buddy/group who you can train with to provide instruction and safety support. Perhaps there are some divers (other than the instructors you mention) in the region who could assist. Some of the best divers I have had the privilege of diving with are female. Don't give up.

Keen to get clarification. Did they refuse you training because you are a woman or was there another reason IE ( medical reasons ).
Are there local government laws for them to adhere too?

Don't do anything in water alone... But there is a LOT of dry breath hold training that you can do in advance of finding a proper instructor / trained dive buddy.
