hey Absolute - i like your location :D

The deepest point in each of the earth's oceans are as follows; the Arctic Ocean's Eurasian Basin at 5,450 meters (17,881 feet) deep, the Indian Ocean's Java Trench at 7,725 meters (25,344 feet) deep, the Atlantic Ocean's Puerto Rico Trench at 8,648 meters (28,374 feet) deep and the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench at 11,033 meters (36,201 feet) deep.

Hiya

Crusty, that picture was taken in Gansbaai, South Africa. It was on the front page of one of our local newspapers a couple of months back.

That is actually a GWS researcher in the ski. They've found that they can approach the shark easier and be less intrusive with a ski!!!rofl rofl They monitor these gws from ski's now!!!rofl

Your comment reminds me of a lion park we used to have here.

You drove through the lion park in your car, however there was a sign on the gate saying, "Poms (English People) on bicycles admitted free"

Now there is a story that a Pom took them up on the offer and attempted to ride his bicycle through the park and fell off half way.

A lion went up to him sniffed him, then ate his bicycle.

Pom is short for POME pronounced Pommy and is reported to be an acronym for "Prisoner Of Mother England" ie convicts sent here in our early days. Henceforth all English migrants are called Poms.

You probably didn't want to know this but I told you anyway.

glad you cleared that up quickly rofl rofl

That sounds alot like the fellow who was going through one of those drive thru safari parks in the U.S. He got out of his car and walked right up to a pride of lions who were eating there food that had just been delivered. He had several crucifixes on and was carrying a bible. He actually walked up and starting petting one of them who was preoccupied with eating. This lasted about 10 seconds before the lions turned and swatted him down and started feeding on him. He did not survive. I assume he was thinking a little "Daniel and the lion den" action. But I don't think the lions read the bible!

That is a Fantastic and terrifying Photo. Not sure what I would do in that case. I've always wanted to see one underwater in the wild, but not as he was enjoying me for lunch...
