Is that issue 34? Finding beef on this has been hard. Any way for me to see the article without paying the outrageous price tag. ( I only own one issue that I bought while in Hawaii )
 
It's issue #35. Bill was talking about women in the issue. The women follow us everywhere! I'm not sure if any shops near you carry HSD, I know some of the spearo shops in the Greater Miami area carry it.
 
just read the article, pretty cool. I was wondering if it was you guys or not. It sure is hard to follow the hotties though. THat Kimi Werner is pretty damn cute! I think my freediving career would be over If my GF found out I was diving with a chick like that!:crutch

Anyway your article was a good read! Those are some monster carp! Looks a bit chillyu for me though.
 
I've obviously never met Kimi, but she seems like a dream girl She's cute and spearfishes. Only thing that would be better would be if she had a huge job making enough money to support me! rofl

Seriously though... Her, Daryll Wong, Kevin from Hammerhead, Travis Kashiwa and a couple other spearos I've seen in HSD are on my list of Freedivers/Spearfishers that I would like to meet. You have a lot of great personalities over there. I hope I can get there to visit some day.

Ive only seen that magazine twice, once in the Manoa book store, and once in the honolulu airport... :headI have the Ulua issue. Its frusterating that you cant preview their articles on the internet. Do you guys have a subscription? I checked once and they are wickedly expensive.
 
I subscribe - this last year and next. I'll have the issue at the WAZEE WEEKEND. It's a good Magazine-
 
I just re-upped my sucscription for 2 more years. $40, 8 issues. $5.00 per issue, $2 less than the news stand. It's always worth the price, I look forward to it every time!

I bought my first issue 4 years ago at Barnes & Noble, here in Peoria. I know I saw a shop in Sarasota had copies, but can't recall who. Jim may know where to find a copy locally down there.

My only gripe against them is that it seems they are too short. They only come out every other month and I read through them within the first hour! For that kind of money they might be able to make it a little longer. But all in all a great magazine. They have some great designers and the pictures are always top notch.
 
See thats the thing. The way back from Hawaii, I read that thing maybe 4 or 5 times. And the adds, you gotta read the adds. rofl They could be longer but the pictures do make up for it. Some of the best photography in the industry if you ask me.

i wouldnt mind getting a subscription to HSD, i read part of forrest once...
 
Anyone else have the problem with the magazines falling apart? Ive had the pages fall out of a few issues. Kinda pisses me off seeing as I pay like 7$ for an issue.
 
I've not had this problem and still have all of my issues- My kids even look through it. Still in good condition.

The concert was on Friday the 13th, :friday I put a video clip on the Beach Bar, that is me sitting up front near the stage, the fossil in the tropical shirt.
