Thoughts on Seac Shout S1000

Hi everybody,

I'm looking at buying the Shout S1000 from Seac:
Seacsub Shout S1000. Fins Fins, Scubastore.com, buy, offers, dive

They have a pretty good price and look very neat. Did anyone tried them? How do they handle?

I am also looking at these fins as a viable replacement for my poor old broken Sporasub H Dessault. Anybody tried them?

I tried them once. they are pretty hard and fast exhausting your legs(just as my beuchat mundial competition) and your ankles.
so just buy them if you really want hard fins and your are capable to use them.

As a beginner you probably should buy softer fins.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not a beginner, but I'm looking for fins for spearfishing, so perhaps these are not the best bet if they're really hard work.

I think its very hard to find good fins via internet. there is almost no other option than trying them personally.

They are an important part of your equipment and if they fit you really depends on many personal factors. maybee you can try them anywhere?

I'm looking at them too.

This from the website:

"blade in high elastic thermoplastic technopolymer module"

makes them sound soft. I don't know exactly what all that means but I do know elastic = stretchy. Seac sub's website doesn't have anything on them really. The newer models come in hard, medium hard, and soft.

Ended up buying Mares Immersion fins from scubastore for £50. Only done a couple of dives with them so far but they seem very good for the money.

my girlfriend just got s900.. she is a beginner, now I am thinking she should have gotten s800 for even softer blade.. any more updates on the users from the forum whoever tried the Seac Shout fins? How does the difference between s800, s900 and s1000 manifest?
