Hello pimp masters,

I need an advice about my pnevmatic gun. It' s a tigulio ras 90 (with tovarish kit) :martial...

At home I also have an old mares mini sten. So I was thinking about mounting the mares handle on my tigulio.

The screw on the back of the tigulio handle is much bigger, but I don't know if that makes some diference.

If anybody has some experience with this kind of combination I would very happy...

Thanks for the tips...

I have only seen photos of the Tigullio models, so I do not know for sure. I have always been under the impression that these rear handle pneumatic guns come from a common source or sub-contractor, but there can be minor changes which could hinder the swapping of some parts. Best to disassemble both guns and directly compare the respective dimensions of the inner barrel features such as the rear screw thread pitch and diameter and the position of the trigger transmission pin hole in terms of the distance from the rear of the inner barrel tube. There will also be a locating lug that indexes the inner barrel in the handle so that it does not rotate when you tighten the muzzle up, that also needs to match or be modified if a different locator is used. I assume the OD of the inner barrels will be the same as they should all use the same alloy tubing size for their 13 mm barrels. If everything looks identical then you should have no problems, but the power regulator, if fitted, will also need to match the "O" ring position for the partitioning bulkhead machined in the inner barrel tube.

YES you CAN=)

Can you combine the benefit of a better handle and a smoother trigger on a mares ministen with the power of Tovariched Tigullio Ras90 so that it will look as cool as the gun on the picture bottom right? The answer lies in the Title.

Since I want to make a little story with some graphics and do not know how to embed them into the text, I will put it all here, one post after another.

Ajkula (Nejc) a good friend of mine who also happens to be my spearfishing buddy and I got together yesterday to give it a try.

After letting the air out of the guns and carefully disassembling the triggers, pulling out the trigger pins, unscrewing the gun heads and charging valves, we were stuck with a lot of spare parts, which would ultimately result in some hybrid guns.

After inspecting the inner parts we were pleasently surprised that zero corrosion was present in both guns, especially the sten, which in probably around 25 years old.
Additionally, we were surprised by the quality of the machined parts in the ras90 gun and their anodization, since it is a relatively cheap gun and less known amongst other pneumatics, currently available on the market.
By comparing the treads on the charging valve of both guns and also the treads, used for fixing the gun head onto the inner 13 mm I.D. tube, they were identical. Also, the positions of the firing pin and the levers which lock the spear were identical. First sign of a possible successful transformation.:t

The only technical difference between the two guns was the position of the spacer, holding the O-ring (second picture from left, near the brown pliers) which stops the air from leaking between the plastic conical part and the gun muzzle. This way, we were forced to use the Tigullio parts. Success:t

Step by step we re-assembled the parts, replacing the Tigullio handle with the sten.

Here I have to stress the importance of using ''original'' spare parts, in this case Technisub speargun oil (which was probably as old as we wererofl).

The late hour prevented the assembly of the ministen, but that will happen in the near future.

For the end, two more pics of the ST-RAS90 hybrid:inlove, equipped with the Tovarich kit, 7mm devoto single flopper spear, awaiting some serious fish.:friday
