The ocean of the N. California coast has been rough this year. Only a few day calm enough to dive. So with my body demanding that i dive somewhere, and we have to listen to our bodies. lol i went to a nearby river and dove for crayfish.
It was a great workout swimming against the current and trying to dive in my wetsuit without any weights. When i was done i had picked up about 75 nice size crayfish.
Popped the tails off and put the meat into a dish of crayfsih creole. Yumm!!
There is always someplace to dive!

Funny you should mention that - Yesterday I was aiming upward for some fish and this guy was sitting on a rock about 8 inches from my lens.

I use to do that in the American River between Rancho Cordova and Folsom,CA next to the bike path. I would work my way upstream on the side of the river and then ride the current underwater and catch the crayfish as they went by.
