Hey i am sorry for this the first fish up called in UAE Em Edrees = The mother of Edrees:D
It is red color fish and faty. The second one called Faskar it is similar in shape to sea breem but it has yellow tail and fins. The caviar was from the first one it was delicious :D Actually in our trip we were expecting queen fish!!! my friend last week got 3 of them 9 kgs each...

Thanks a lot i did some search and the first one looks like red snapper and the second one is two banded sea bream i am not familiar with fish names but i think i am learning...

Thanks for all again

Why don't you weigh some of your fish and then they can go in the hall of Fame?

The second one is a twobar seabream (Acanthopagrus bifasciatus) known as "Faskar" in the UAE.

Find out about it here http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=4543

Pictures here http://www.fishbase.org/Photos/ThumbnailsSummary.php?ID=4543

Names here http://www.fishbase.org/comnames/Co...pagrus&SpeciesName=bifasciatus&StockCode=4728

There are a lot of species called red snapper and not sure which one yours is.

Dave.

By the way my fish consider to be small comparing to what guys catch here but according to your request i want to do this and post all what i fish... I catch 5 fish like this one fish looks like sea bream but not sea bream, and five smaller fish jack type those i gave them to my neighbor before taking pics :D

This is what i got with Jewan night dive in Um al Queen depth was like 4 meters to 6 meters... It was first time for me night dive fishing was easier than day time but it need more concentration and 100% team work...

That’s a cracking haul there mate, enough for you, the neighbours and a couple for the freezer. You gota love a bit of night spearing. Well done sir.:):)

Hey thanks a lot Mr Podge was my pleasure :D But by the way most of the fish were caught by brother Jewan( He was the leader in this trip and he is expert in night dives) If he let me post his pic as well i will...

Nice mess of fish!

Don't let anybody ever give you a hard time about size. The big ones are fun to see and play with, but the smaller ones taste a whole lot better and that's what really counts.

It was really my lucky day!!! :D

Well done my friend . How do you cook grouper in your part of the world ?

Hey Dave Thanks for you. I am not sure how many people cook it here but there are many ways depends who is cooking. For me i either fillet it or bake it in the oven with sauce which i make like tomato with onion coriander garlic olive oil and curry spices or mixed spices. Also simply coriander with butter and garlic. Along with it you can serve it with these sauces:

1- lemon with garlic and coriander(You may add grind piper)
2- Tahini with lemon (Tahini is made from sesame dunno what is it in english)
3- tahini with tomato and cucumber + lemon.

Lovely fish my friend, what gun did you use?

Hi my friend thanks. The gun is the same one which i made here with your help guys at deeperblue it did great job it penetrate the head all the way like canon!!! i have changed the handle for this gun to rabetich which i found it more reliable than the Omer Excaliber. Here is the pic

Thanks again guys!!!

That is a good fish, and the way you describe cooking it sounds spot on especially with the lemon, garlic and coriander sauce.
Great stuff bud :):)
