Tom Sietas in Sharm el Sheikh in September ?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
That's a nice looking sled they've designed for the no limit's record attempt! (in the bilder)

If you check out their website and the AIDA International website you'll notice that they are not going to do WR attempts (no mention of that on the AIDA website).
I think they are going for German national records.
It will still be very interesting to follow! I am very interested to see how deep Tom can go with his talent.

Regards,
Haico

Yea, it looks like his fins fit inside of it and there is no bar for bending his knees around. He is standing! Those bars always looked uncomfortable to me. Maybe its because I have bad knees which don’t allow for deep knee bends. I would definitely be more comfortable on that sled!

So is Tom going to go show the world he is the best at static and dynamic in the 2005 AIDA pool championship in Switzerland August 17-21. The Freedive Lotto at www.apneamania.com has his name in the static and pool, but I can’t remember if his name was in the CW, which will be in France September 1-4, which is during this record setting time. I hope the Lotto is correct that he is Switzerland contest. I picked him to win! But mostly I just want to see him get some revenge for being uninvited to the World Static Contest!

The picture of the sled you see on the Teams page is of Yasemin Dalkilic during one of her record attempts some while ago. By the looks of it only small fins fit in there.
I doubt this is the sled they are using but I may be wrong. A look at the info on the sled suggests they built it themselves. Wonder if it is going to look like the one in the picture.

Regards,
Haico

There seems to be a photo in that gallery of him stood on a sled they have built especially for him, take another look....

Hey there,

just some information about our event:

In this event Sabine Kückemanns, Sven Penszuk and I are going to be attempting to break national records in all depth disciplines.

The main aim of this event is to make some experience in the field of deepdiving and organizing in order to prepare for a World Record that might be set later.

Right now I am preparing for the indoor World Championships but it is also likely that I will be focusing on deepdiving next year.

All the best, Tom

Hi Golfinho,

Yep, on the fotos page there is a photo of Sven on a sled. I missed that one. It looks like there is even a photo on that page (on the bottom of the fotos page) with the drawing of the sled.
