Tomba - All in One barrel sealing

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I also received a kit from Marko for my Caccia115 and his help and support have been first class. It's also a beautifully made piece of engineering.
I hope to test it out at the weekend - vid to follow

I was interested if dyneema, 400 lbs, soaked with super glue would be weakened where the glue was applied.
It was not, but It was weakened by poor tied bowline knot that was slipping during tensioning.
This strange configuration was with purpose to multiply the force from Easy Loader.

1,4 mm 400 lib spectra (on slider) to nylon 1 mm. It is easier to tie spectra to slider than nylon.

Tomba650 with Polyurethane damper for cone ring and slider. This is a trick used frequently with Russian guns. I utilized PU tubing OD 6 mm, ID 4 mm.

It will be interesting to see if it stays in place when hit by the slide ring assembly.

I am curious too! Because tomba slider and cone ring are very light it might be good. It would be possible to replace stainless cone ring with ertacetal cone ring, or to use heavier (steel) slider. In any case there are some new possibilities. Using the same PU tubing with 7 mm shaft would be more difficult, without modifying the shaft.

You would not find a better Instructional video than that... the slider looks really good.

I did a test in sea. PU damper was working great. Noise is noticeable lower.
I also made a LR. Might be made better-nicer, but functioning is fine!

I made a test of new type Tomba slider to classical Tomba slider.
The classical slider is still better in performance (energy):

23.7^2 / 23^2 = 6.1 %

All results together!

New Tomba slider has same result as classical slider with spectra and than double uni knot spectra to mono.

Hi Tomi,
In Denmark, we now have an online forum for spearos.
It's becoming bigger and bigger as spearing is really taking off there.

Very few people shoot pneumatics there and no one has really modded their guns to vacuum barrel.
So, I wanted to educate them a bit
I took the liberty to use your excellent PDF to explain differences between sliders and freeshafts - you are duly credited and I included Marko's email in case anyone gets tempted to order a set.

Hope that's OK, otherwise let me know and I'll pull it again.

It's here:

It is OK! You did an interesting and useful job for members on your forum.
Cheers, Tomislav
