Hmm, it still does not look much better than before. Looks as dead as half a year ago when you announced it the first time. Though this time there are different errors. I see this:

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/immersio/public_html/frontpage.php on line 22

no errors here, not in IE (several versions), opera, etc..... what are you using?

Pim

I got the same errors- running windows xp.

Jon

strange, here xp also.....tested at several setups on several PC's, laptops, so should be an installation question (with the securety-level probably).

Will have a look....

Pim

edit; indeed firefox and opera functions better. Here IE7 at the moment and OK....

You may want to know: In Firefox, the roll-over menu's do not work properly - they roll over, but do not allow you to select anything. You must click the menu title and then use the menu loaded to the main pane. Otherwise it does not look too bad. Good prices and good choice. Congrats and thanks! Hope the business works fine for you - this type of store was long missing here!

Most likely you have some problem in cookie handling in your application. However, the errors are server based, so although they may be depending on the browser cookies or other behaviour, there is a problem in your script.

yes we know about the firefox roll-menu, that is why there is the added function to have the menu in main-screen....

thanks for compliments....

Well, I did some tests. It is indeed the improper handling of session variables in your script. PHP stores (better told can store, among others) session variables on the client side in the cookie files. The problem is when your script relies on the session variables and does not have any exception handling for the case the cookies are refused. When nothing else, the script should check for the availability of cookies and show an error message to the visitor explaining him how to turn them on and why. Better yet, you should do all to avoid such situation. There are several possibilities:
  1. Using alternative method for storing session variables in a server based database and passing the session ID through URL and/or hidden from variables in case cookies are rejected by the browser. This method requires good level of programming skills though.
  2. You should definitely avoid using mixed domains in your store - your store is on freedivestore.nl, but the actual content on immersion.nu - that is a big no-no for any ecommerce site. Especially MSIE browsers will automatically refuse cookies from any website using such mixed setup. Besides it, it looks unprofessional and to many visitors it may stink a scam. Avoid it - there is no reason to use any redirects - simply configure your web server to keep the same domain name as called with. You can still keep both domain names (or even more of them) as aliases, but you should definitely avoid mixing them together.
  3. You do not use any P3P Compact Policies in your HTTP headers. Again many modern browsers (especially all MSIE6 and MSIE7) even with moderate security setting will refuse cookies at websites not having the Compact P3P policies in place.
I did not check other things - there may be more problems, but these ones are rather crutial and you should definitely fix them if you want to have a succesfull store. Believe me, I am a professional ecommerce programmer since more than ten years, and have my software running in tens of thousands of ecommerce stores.
