I was surprised today (well it happened 10 minutes ago) when I was doing my training. I didn't have much time so I just did some breath holds. I've only been training for 3 weeks but I come from a competitive swimming background and my first day training I had a 3 and a half minute breath hold. So I just did some today and and on my second breath hold got 4 minutes 10 seconds.
Thought I must have calculated the time wrong so I reset and did it again for 4 and a half minutes.

I was so happy and did it one last time and got a 5 and a half minute hold (50 contractions)! I never thought I could get so far so quick. I just hope it keeps increasing. I know it won't be as easy, but I'm hoping to get to 6 minutes within the next half a year

Hi, I assume you are doing dry statics? Well done for improvement. Try not to push the times for big improvements each session though. Standard CO2 and O2 tables are the best form of training for improving.

Yes I'm just doing dry apnea and walking apnea. I wanted to start pool training but I'm having shoulder surgery next week.

And I'm mainly doing the CO2 and O2 tables with intervals of 2:30 and going up 5 seconds every week.
